JANESSA is laying on her back with her arms spread and her left leg bent across her right knee. The bottle of pills lays next to her hand.

LIGHTS UP

BEATRICE enters. She gasps and crosses to Janessa.

BEATRICE
Janessa! Wake up! Say something.

BEATRICE shakes Janessa.

BEATRICE sees the empty bottle and picks it up.
