Dollars Per Hour Chapter 9

“Hi, my name is Rubin, thank you for calling SpectraCom, can I have your ten-digit phone number, please?”

    “No.”

    “Excuse me?”

    “No, you can’t have it.”

“Sir, without your phone number, there isn’t any way for me to help you.”

“You have it there in front of you.”

“No sir, I don’t. You haven’t given it to me yet, so I couldn’t possibly have it.”

“I just punched it in, you have my account there in front of you.”

“No sir, that system just gives the call because of some pressing financial issue pending on the account. Probably just a notification of payment posting to the account, nothing to worry about. Could I have that phone number please?.”

    “No.”

“Sir, if you aren’t willing to give me that information, there isn’t anything I can do you for you.”

    “Fine, asshole. 1-370-555-2213"

“Thank you sir, please hold while I access your account... Thank you for holding, can you please verify your name and the address for account protection?

    “No.”

    “Excuse me?”

“You have it there in front of you.”

“Yes, I do, and before we can discuss anything, I need you to verify that for the protection of what you are telling me is your account.”

    “No.”

“Then there is nothing I can do for you.”

“Fuck you then, you piece of shit!”

“Thank you for calling SpectraCom. Have a nice day!”
