Episode 17
“I don’t swim so well,” said Morgoth. “Maybe you should go first.”
Sita Moon watched him in disbelief a moment before she ran into the stream. Current buffeted her body and she lost hold of the bottom. Considerable perseverance was needed to keep her head above water. Morgoth lingered on the rocky shore, taking delicate steps into the stream.
Sita Moon reached the midpoint of the river before a slick form coiled around her torso and wrenched her body from the water. It was a massive, heaving thing of eyes and black tentacles that grasped to bring her thrashing body into control. A jagged maw opened at the base of tentacles at the water line.
Morgoth charged into the river at the sight, axe above his head. Several tentacles fired out, spearing Morgoth through the chest and retracting. The lifeless orc fell into the river and spiraled away in the current. The tentacles got around all Sita Moon’s limbs and body and broke her apart with great gushes of blood, stuffing the remains into its toothy mouth. As final life faded, Sita Moon felt the knife-like teeth piercing her. Thus died the world's newest life form
The End.
