Bigfoot in Beacon

Indy-Anna Bones was searching for the Beacon Bigfoot.

Located near the Hudson River north of Sleepy Hollow, Beacon, gained some notoriety for a series of clearly-faked videos that enraged the Bigfoot community.

She did not spy a Sasquatch, but Indy-Anna found the painting, "Little Bigfoot," by Ron English.

Just outside of town, Indy-Anna discovered the Craig House.

The gothic mansion was named Tioranda when it was built in 1859, but in 1915 it was turned into America’s first privately licensed psychiatric hospital.

Indy-Anna crept in from the woods to avoid waking the ghosts. Craig House was home to such famous patients as Rosemary Kennedy, Francis Seymour, and Jazz-Age Juliet, Zelda Fitzgerald, who resided in the house for treatment of her schizophrenia.

Patients could swim in an Olympic swimming pool or golf on the private green between treatment sessions.

The building has been empty since 1999, when the owner jumped to his death from his apartment in Manhattan.

The Hudson Valley provides some of the oldest history our country has to offer, and Indy-Anna looked forward to returning again.
