Scene 5

EXT. CABIN. NIGHT.

Wide Angle, looking up. Moon illuminates the scene. A small cabin sits in a clearing. One window is lit orange.

TRAVIS breaks from the line of trees, approaching the house silently. When he reaches the house, he draws a long dagger from his hip.

TRAVIS is tall enough to look in the window.

Inside, TEAL  sits at the table, crying with her head in her hands. The kitchen is in a state of chaos, with smashed plates, overturned chairs, and Styrofoam plates that once contained the meat she bought earlier.

TRAVIS steps on a branch and this alerts TEAL.

TRAVIS ducks down and hides against the wall.

TEAL comes to the window, but she cannot see him.

TEAL comes out the front door. She holds a flashlight, but TRAVIS is hidden around the corner of the house.

TEAL : I know you’re out there! (Pause) I can hear you!

TEAL stands on the doorstep a moment, looking around, then goes inside and slams the door.

TRAVIS steps out from cover, staring at the house a moment before returning to the woods.
