Two Winters Past

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE. AFTERNOON.

The light is dim. Dust floats in the sunbeam.

MED SHOT: Looking up MOLAY reaches for his sword.

CHANGO points his gun directly into the camera.

CHANGO: I didn’t say you could move.

Behind CHANGO, the doorframe explodes with a fan of oily tentacles. CHANGO is lifted in the air and slammed against the wall. Monster pushes into the room. It still has a human shape, but all of the original person is gone.

CHANGO fires the shotgun in the air as the monster bites at his face.

As CHANGO is attacked, MOLAY ushers VALENTINE and CHLOE ISIS through the kitchen out the back door.

EXT. BACK YARD.

CHLOE ISIS, VALENTINE, and MOLAY come through the sliding glass door onto a wooden deck.

CHLOE ISIS: How do we kill that thing?

MOLAY: It manufactures new body parts for everything damaged or destroyed.

VALENTINE: Did it kill Chango?

A shotgun goes off inside.

MOLAY: Not yet.

CHLOE ISIS: Run!

CHANGO runs on the back porch, wielding the double-barrelled shotgun like a club. His face is bloody and his clothes are torn.

The monster smashes through the door, taking out much of the wall.

CHANGO tumbles through the rotten railing. He lays still in the grass.

MOLAY draws his sword.

MOLAY: Get to the tree-line! Get back to the highway!

The monster lurches for MOLAY, who avoids and slashes the monster across the back.

Tentacles wrap around MOLAY’s feet and pull him down. He chops off two tentacles, driving the monster back for a moment, long enough to get up.

CHLOE ISIS and VALENTINE have made it to the trees. monster charges MOLAY.

MOLAY runs his sword into the monster’s gut and slashes up through the body cavity.

Tentacles spill from the hole around the reaching for MOLAY.

Fade out on MOLAY being overwhelmed by the monster.
