AIN SOPH Part 9, Episode 2

Episode 2

Morgoth nearly split Duke's helmet with his stone axe, giving Sita Moon a moment to regain her footing. Morgoth lingered only a moment until he decided on a larger target. Morgoth charged StarScream the dragon.

StarScream was distracted, lunging at the orcs and goblins on the ridge, scattering them with fire and biting two to death. She caught the ridge with her claws and heaved her body up. Morgoth grabbed her tail and yanked her back, but StarScream landed fighting, clawing the big orc's face and shoulders.

Duke and Sita Moon squared off. This was personal. Speed was natural for an elf, but the White Knight crackled with enchantment. Duke moved so fast even Sita Moon struggled to keep up.

Morgoth grappled with Starscream and hurled the dragon against a thick tree. StarScream fell flat and didn't move. Morgoth advanced.

The Sun Sword cut close twice around Sita Moon's shoulders. Both were deflected by the Cthulhu Dagger that parried of its own accord, floating in the air before Sita Moon. Sita Moon had no weapon to fight back, and Duke deflected her punches with a turned bracer or shin.

Morgoth reached StarScream and lifted his axe for a killing blow. The dragon picked up her head, breathed flame into the orc's face, and lifted her body into the air. Moving with the grace of a fish in water, StarScream rocketed along the riverbed out of sight.

Through a break in the trees, Sita Moon caught sight of a ruined fort perched on the side of the hill. Running through the trees would give her an advantage over the helmeted knight who would need to move slow in the thick wood.
