Episode 7
The pounding of Sita Moon’s feet drew Duke’s immediate attention. She raced to the ceiling, but Duke hacked at the railings and stairs with his sun sword, severing several structural supports, knocking the staircase aside with a groan. Sita Moon jumped to catch the catwalk before the stair toppled, but she was hit in the stomach by a loose rail and knocked into the debris. She dropped half way to the ground, a few short sword strokes from reach.
Morgoth and his orcs poured into the room, charging the White Knight. The stairway broke apart on the crash, giving Sita Moon a fair bruising, but she was able to catch her breath in the wreckage as the orcs pressed Duke’s defenses.
The orcs engaged Duke, but Morgoth hung back, letting his soldiers wear down the White Knight. Sita Moon was able to free herself from the wreckage, but not until after Morgoth noticed her helplessness. An orc will always attack a helpless target if it is closer than an opponent that can fight back. Morgoth advanced to smash.
Duke saw her as well. There was no way to avoid confrontation.
