“This is ridiculous, I don’t know how you can do this!”
“Sir, I’m sorry, but when your bill was delinquent, you put yourself in a precarious position.”
“That’s not the point! I’m a good customer!”
“Mr. Dale, we have not received payment in three months.”
“So I fell on hard times! It’s a tough economy!”
“We sent you notification that this would happen.”
“You always get your money. How can you do this to me?”
“Sir, did you receive the letter? It gave you the block date. Those letters are automatically triggered when an account is past due. It has nothing to do with a customer’s payment history.”
“So even though I’m a good customer, you will treat me like I’m common garbage? Look at my history! Do I deserve this abuse?”
“Sir, I’m looking at your payment history right now.”
“And what do you see?”
“I see that in the year you have been a customer, you have never once paid your bill on time. In fact, most often, the only way we can get payment from you is when we block your service.”
