Two Winters Past

Scene 16

EXT. TREELINE

JIMMY and COOLEYS run to metal door, pull ropes to open. A fan of arms surges through the gap. Human bodies are birthed from within.

COLE and ZACH are fighting. ZACH tries to get gun away from COLE.

HELLER lurches back in chair and it shatters, dumping him in a heap entangled by ropes. Monsters reach HELLER before he can recover, and he fights while freeing himself.

JIMMY and COOLEYS flee around side of barn into thick brush. At least two dozen or more monsters are escaping from the barn.

Monsters rush COLE and ZACH. ZACH breaks off combat and runs for tall grass around the house. COLE follows.

HELLER struggles to stay out of reach. Monsters grapple, but he is no longer encumbered by rope.

JIMMY: Over here, you fuckfaces!

JIMMY is in the open by the woodline, jumping and waving his arms.

The majority of the monster pack darts for him, but a few remain preoccupied with HELLER. Another monster reaches COLE. He fights it. JIMMY runs into the woods, letting monsters chase him. ZACH is not visible.
