Episode 5

Lilly didn’t go to bed. She couldn’t go to bed, not if this website was claiming she could have Chet back. She logged off TAO and went back to King Dagon, which greeted her with its normal greeting, “Type what you want.”

“Chet,” Lilly Typed.

The ghost-face spun, and the page refreshed. “Did you find Sita Moon? Type what you want.” What kind of Universal eye was watching her then and there to have this question asked right when she bumbled into the answer. Lilly still believed she was the victim of a cruel joke, but she couldn’t take the chance. She would get back Chet, and Chet would know how to get back Kyle, and then everything would be perfect again.

“Almost,” Lilly typed.

“When you find Sita Moon, I will be able to give you anything. Type what you want.”

“I just want Chet and Kyle,” Lilly said aloud. She didn’t like the way her voice sounded in her ears. She rarely spoke if she was home. Part of her hoped King Dagon would answer, and give her some kind of assurance this wasn’t a computer glitch. When no answer came, she typed, what do I do when I find Sita Moon?”

The Misfits Fiend spun. The page refreshed. King Dagon answered, “Kill her. Type what you want.”
