Dead Horse Bay

Indy-Anna Bones is an archaeologist, adventurer, street-art expert, and friend to pigeons. She appreciates ground-hogs, and hopes to one day keep a skunk as a pet. Indy-Anna has traveled the world researching mysteries and tracking down history.

Indy-Anna Bones was exploring Broken Glass Beach in Dead Horse Bay, way down in South Brooklyn.

The beach is littered with trash and glass, and tangles of rusty metal.

Some glass was polished smooth by years of waves, other jars remained still intact.

To reach the beach, Indy-Anna needed to follow a path through a forest of reeds and vines.

'Dead Horse Bay' was named for the horse rendering plant that dumped there. Cut sections of brown bone are scattered among the glass.

Print is better!

Doo-dads and sea specimens were everywhere.
