Set: Beatrice's Apartment.
BEATRICE enters, already talking on the phone.
LIGHTS UP.
BEATRICE
I told you no! The last time, I went up there, I thought he was going to kill me, Jan, that's why! God, I saved his prized bullfrog, and the man practically chased me out with his cane. No, I won't just call and ask him! I'll tell you what, I'll give you his number, you can call and ask him!

BEATRICE closes her cell phone and tosses it on the couch. She sighs loudly and balls her hands into fists. BEATRICE exits. A tall figure enters with a cloak over his head.
