TERRY and DWAYNE enter a store for the first time. They peer around, apprehensively, perhaps a bit confused, and     diffidently approach the clerk, SARAH, arranging items on a     display rack.  For most of SARAH’S performance, she remains busy, arranging and adjusting store items on the stand.

TERRY

Excuse me, miss?  

SARAH

            [Smiling]

Oh, hi.  May I help you?

TERRY

            [Pointing off-stage]

Your sign says you’re having a sale.

SARAH

That’s right.  Everything twenty to thirty percent off!

TERRY

Gross or net?  You know, before tax, or after?

DWAYNE

Terry, knock it off, that’s stupid.

TERRY

It’s not stupid!  Money doesn’t grow on trees, Dwayne.

SARAH

What do you guys need today?

TERRY

See, I’m in charge of planning a party—

DWAYNE

            [Interrupting]

We’re in charge of planning a party.

TERRY

And we wanna do this right, it’s wicked important.

SARAH

Well, you’re in the right place.  What’s the occasion?

TERRY

The Fuhrer’s birthday.
